Detailed Itinerary of the 3 Days Eastern Lowland Gorilla Trek

Day 1: Arrive and Transfer to Kahuzi Biega National Park 

You shall arrive then depart from Kigali city early in the morning drive through nyungwe forest national park and arrive in rusizi 1 border cross to bukavu city which is the nearest town to Kahuzi biega national park to enjoy eastern lowland gorilla trekking.

Have Lunch on the way and we can recommend to enjoy your lunch at Nyungwe forest lodge or Gisakura Guest house after the scenic drive through the jungle with the chance of watching some primates along side the road in nyungwe forest and later cross the border to Democratic republic of congo.

Arrive at your accommodation in the afternoon where you will check-in. there you can opt for your preferred accommodation ranging from high-class, mid-range and Budget, or Tented accommodations close to south lake Kivu. Dine at your place of accommodation and relax the rest of the evening as you prepare for a thrilling experience of Eastern lowland Gorilla Tracking the following day.

Day 2: Eastern lowland Gorilla Trekking

After an early breakfast, take 45 minutes drive from Bukavu town to Kahuzi biega national park headquarters for an orientation plus meeting the guides as well as separation into the groups basing on which gorilla trekking Congo group you are to be tracking due to the fact that only 4 Gorilla families are habituated for Trekking .
