Rwanda is among Top destinations in Uganda that have developed roads , Transport network Road infrastructure The following areas are paved: • Kigali – Kibuye very winding, little traffic, in good condition. • Kigali – Ruhengeri good condition. • Ruhengeri -Gisenyi: Good. • Kigali – Uganda border Byumba: good condition, many trucks. • Kigali – Gitarama: Good. The road network of the city of Kigali and its suburbs, outside the main paved roads, consists of roads in very poor condition. The Kibuye- Gisenyi and Kibuye- Cyangugu tracks remain difficult. The use of an all-terrain vehicle is recommended. Fuel supply is generally provided in the main cities. Generally, drive with caution, particularly at night, given the large number of pedestrians along roads, including children.

Volcanoes national Park Rwanda-Mountain Gorilla Tracking 

Volcanoes national Park located  in northwestern Rwanda and borders Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. The is known as a haven for the mountain gorilla. It is home to five of the eight volcanoes of the Virunga Mountains (Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga and Sabyinyo), and spans 160 sq km covered in rain forest and bamboo. The park was the base for the zoologist Dian Fossey. Volcanoes national Park Rwanda is not only the home for the mountain Gorillas , but also a place for watching other primates like the Golden monkey and its Birding destination since its part of the virunga Massif Region that is shared by Uganda, Rwanda and Congo.

Nyungwe Forest National Park

Nyungwe Forest  in the southwestern region of Rwanda, is one of Africa’s oldest and largest protected mountain rain forest. It is home to one of the largest concentration of chimpanzees and 12 other primate species. Nyungwe is about 4-5 hours from Kigali and you can get there by private transfer or by bus. You can purchase a chimpanzee permit  $90 at the Nyungwe tourist office or through a tour operator. There are  guided nature walks  within the park that are well worth a visit.

Gishwati Forest national Park

Gishwati Forest is a protected reserve in the north-western part of Rwanda, not far from Lake Kivu. The reserve’s forests were largely intact in 1978, and substantial forest cover still remained in 1986. The newly created national park that was created in 2015 by the Rwandan Government as way of giving tourism a raise, its a home for the chimpanzees and nature walks , Birding safaris are also done here .
